Members of the Ireland Olympic Team have sent a message of solidarity to Tokyo.
It follows the postponement of this Summer's Olympic Games in Japan.
They've been rescheduled for next year.
Olympic silver medallist from Rio, sailor Annalise Murphy, is among those voicing solidarity.
"I think is probably the best decision for the entire world," she said.
"It means everyone can stay safe for the next little while and we'll all be ready for an uplifting Games next year in 2021."
Irish boxer, Kellie Harrington, said:
"Obviously disappointed about the Tokyo Olympics being cancelled, but there's bigger and more important things going on in the world right now.
"So Tokyo, whenever you're ready, we're ready."
