Joe Schmidt says being the number one ranked side in the world means very little to him and the Ireland squad ahead of the World Cup.
They took the top ranking spot for the first time ever, following Saturday's 19-10 win over Wales at the Aviva Stadium.
Schmidt's side now set their sights on the World Cup, which begins in less than two weeks, and set off for Japan on Wednesday.
The Irish head coach says being number one is only a label to him.
"I didn't realise we were number one until afterwards when I did an interview." Schmidt said.
"That's how far it is from our thoughts - It's a label, it's a nice one to have.
"We've been lucky enough to be able to tick a few firsts off with this group over the last six years.
"That label isn't going to be relevant to anyone come Rugby World Cup, we all know who the favourites are, and it's not us."
