The IRFU have officially announced Ireland's entry into the 'Candidate' phase of the selection process to host the 2023 World Cup.
Ireland are battling it out with South Africa and France for the chance to stage the event in seven years' time.
The bid has the backing of both governments and sees the GAA place it's grounds at the disposal of the tournament. Currently there are 12 potential venues on Ireland's 'Long List' which will ultimately reduce to 8/10 venues for the staging of the tournament.
The long list comprises of Croke Park, Aviva Stadium, RDS Arena, Nowlan Park, Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Thomond Park, FitzGerald Stadium, Pearse Stadium, McHale Park, Casement Park, Kingspan Stadium and Celtic Park.
The IRFU have also released a superb 90 second video, narrated by Liam Neeson, to capture the spirit and theme of the Irish bid.
The selection process will run from now until November 2017 when World Rugby will decide on the successful candidate.
